IBMA Network
Connecting People and Organizations Through Budo
IBMA（International Budo Human Development Association）promotes cooperation with individuals, organizations, and dojos that support its principles in order to advance budo education, research, international exchange, human development, and social contribution.
The IBMA Network provides a framework through which participating organizations and dojos can cooperate while maintaining their own independence and distinctive traditions.
Its purpose is not to unite different styles or organizations under a single system. Rather, it seeks to build cooperative relationships based on shared principles and objectives while respecting the identity and activities of each participating organization and dojo.
Structure of the IBMA Network
The IBMA Network includes the following principal forms of cooperation.
IBMA Cooperating Organizations and Cooperating Dojos
IBMA Cooperating Organizations and Cooperating Dojos are organizations and dojos that support the principles and activities of IBMA and cooperate in areas such as budo education, research, international exchange, human development, and social contribution.
Organizations and dojos from a wide range of martial arts styles and disciplines may apply.
IBMA KYOKUSHIN KAI
IBMA KYOKUSHIN KAI is a budo organization dedicated to preserving, studying, developing, and promoting the spirit and techniques of Kyokushin Karate.
It is not a specialized division of IBMA. It is an independent partner organization officially recognized by IBMA and conducts its activities in accordance with the principles of IBMA.
Affiliated Organizations and Dojos of IBMA KYOKUSHIN KAI
Kyokushin-related organizations and dojos may join the IBMA KYOKUSHIN KAI Network through affiliation.
After affiliation, organizations and dojos that meet the prescribed standards may separately apply for certification as an officially certified organization or dojo.
IBMA Membership and Organizational Cooperation
IBMA membership and the partnership, affiliation, and certification systems for organizations and dojos are separate systems.
Individuals who wish to participate in IBMA must register under the appropriate IBMA membership category.
Organizations and dojos that wish to cooperate with IBMA or become affiliated with or certified by IBMA KYOKUSHIN KAI must submit a separate organizational or dojo application.
