Online Guidance — Eligibility and Conditions
This is a special educational program for affiliated members.
This is not a public online lesson service.
Applicants must belong to an affiliated dojo or organization.
However, membership alone does not ensure eligibility.
Approval from Headquarters is also required.
Two basic conditions must therefore be met.
You must be an affiliated member.
Headquarters must also approve your participation.
Basic Eligibility
Condition 1
You belong to an affiliated dojo or organization.
Condition 2
Headquarters approves your participation.
Membership is a necessary condition.
It does not automatically create eligibility.
Headquarters makes the final decision.
Typical Candidates
- Members preparing for dan promotion
- Members seeking instructor certification
- Members recommended by their instructor
- Members who need technical guidance
- Members studying teaching methods
- Members wishing to study Riho or Budo
- Members selected by Headquarters
Meeting one of these conditions is not enough.
The application and training background are reviewed.
The local instructor may also be consulted.
Instructor Recommendation
Online guidance supports local dojo instruction.
It does not replace the local instructor.
Cooperation with the instructor is important.
A recommendation may be requested.
Please include it when one has been given.
Headquarters may also invite a member directly.
When Participation May Not Be Approved
- You are not an affiliated member
- Your purpose does not fit the program
- Your membership cannot be confirmed
- Headquarters does not see a current need
- Local coordination is still required
- Program capacity has been reached
Submitting an application does not ensure approval.
Each case is reviewed individually.
This Is Not a Public Paid Lesson
Eligibility cannot be purchased by paying a fee.
The program exists for member development.
It differs from ordinary private lessons.
A fee may be charged for program operation.
That fee does not create a right to participate.
Approval is still required.
A Special Opportunity for Members
This program is a special learning opportunity.
It connects selected members with Headquarters.
It exists within the affiliation system.
It does not represent social status or privilege.
It is an educational opportunity for deeper study.
Its purpose is development through Budo.
Dojo Training Comes First
Online guidance cannot replace dojo practice.
